Lee Engineering: Governed Variable Speed Motors, Laboratory Lattice Components, and Flour Mills Governed Variable Speed Motors
- High starting torque and infinite speed control
- Motor and Controller are integral in a compact package
- Controls unaffected by a voltage fluctuation
- Accurate and dependable
Governor speed control systems are designed to function accurately under adverse conditions i.e. high temperatures, fluctuating supply voltages and similar factors which are damaging to semi-conductors components used in virtually all of today’s static control systems.
Simple governor control mechanism performance is more cost effective than solid state speed controls. Innovative design, quality construction and stringent final testing assure you top performance and years of dependable use with minimal maintenance.
Gear Reduction Models - Several gear reduced speed heads are available for more defined speed and torque ranges. Single or dual gear reduction heads feature steel alloy worms, bronze or phenolic gears. Output shafts can be offset or orientated to 90 degree positions. Options include double output shaft extensions and special output shaft configurations. Assistance provided in determining the proper gear box design for your specific governed speed motor applications.
Motor Construction - Motor and controller are integral and feature smaller packaging for limited space applications. Motors operate on a 115 VAC or 110 VDC. Rotations can be unidirectional or reversible. Totally enclosed construction eliminates contamination from adverse environments. Intermittent or continuous duty is dependent upon speed and torque requirements. Capacities range from 1/50 to 1/3 HP and 500 to 10,000 RPM. Options include thermal overloads.
Frame Design - Several frame designs are available for your mounting applications. Foot mounted, flange, base and case are popular mounting designs for Less Engineering Governed Speed Motors. These frames are rugged cast zinc or aluminum for lower weight and cooling efficiency. Our engineering department can handle your special speed mounting applications.
Laboratory Lattice Components - Fast, Flexible and Economical Lee Engineering Lattice Component System provides the flexibility which permits you to design your lattice layout quickly and economically…customized to your requirements.

Flour Mills Lee Household Flour Mills offer you the opportunity to grind whole wheat flour in your own home, quickly, efficiently and economically. Built for trouble free operation, thousands of Lee Mills are in daily use, producing flour at minimum cost per pound.
Unique Stone Grinding Principle - The carborundum grinding stone employed in Lee Mills is designed to efficiently stone grind and reduce the entire grain kernel, resulting in no breakdown of nutritious factors.
Automatic Feed - The automatic feed assures the used that the proper amount of grain is being fed into the grinding chamber, with no sifting and bolting required.
Safe and Simple Operation - Merely fill the hopper with grain, snap a bag container over the outlet, and activate the motor. The hopper has a capacity of four pounds of grain.
Compact Trouble-Free Motor - Lee Mills is powered with Lee Universal Motors, with a thermal protective switch that automatically shuts power off in case of overload. Power automatically restarts when the motor has cooled to a safe operating temperature. |
